Greater Vernon Water: Surge Protection Valve - Buchanan Road

A summary of specific work items includes the following (approximate quantities):
· Installation of 600mm diameter water main including appurtenances and valves, ~ 45m.
· Construction of concrete retaining walls and concrete kiosk slab, ~ 51m2 and ~26m2 respectively.
· Installation of an above ground surge relief kiosk includes surge relief piping and appurtenances,
instrumentation, electrical distribution and controls, and radio telemetry pole.
· Installation of a 2100mm diameter energy dissipation/ surge manhole.
· Installation of an infiltration tank including geotextile and gravels, ~ 50m3.
· Installation of 600mm diameter storm sewer including manholes, ~ 190m.
· Construction of an energy dissipation and dispersal ditch includes a winged headwall, geotextiles, and rip rap.
· Road restoration and parking lot construction with subbase, base and asphalt pavement, ~520 m2.
· Road shoulder, driveways, and surface restorations.
