Fire Training Centre Facilities

The FTC consists of five (5) main buildings and various props. Training is customized to match the user's different personnel/instructor capabilities and training requirements.
The Administration Building consists of offices, classroom, washrooms, showers and change rooms, first aid room, as well as equipment/compressor room, training resource and audio visual rooms. The classroom can currently host up to 16 individuals.
ImageImageA 2.5 level structure (4000 sq. ft.) is used for suppression training in at above and below grade fire attack, hidden attack, search and rescue, hydraulic and positive pressure ventilation, strategy and tactics, high rise training, fire behaviour and rollover simulations as well as fireground command.

This 27 ft. tall tower is used for ladder and rescue training.
ImageA 600+ sq. ft. multi-platform confined space training prop. Each platform simulates various confined space scenarios/applications.
ImageImageA 640 sq. ft. multi-scenario firefighter self-rescue prop.
ImageMulti-fueled props (environmentally friendly) for fire suppression training and practice. Various props created for training of car fires, container/dumpster fires, electrical fires, soffit/sheered gas meter fires and propane cylinder fires. There is also a foam and portable fire extinguisher area with multi-fueled natural gas/propane props.
ImageImageAn annual pump test goes a long way to addressing potential problems with your fire apparatus. This site is set up to run through a series of tests. It also recycles the water.
