Two service areas started in 1989 and1990 and merged in 1991 to provide street lighting in the Knoll subdivision at Silver Star Mountain Ski Resort in Electoral Area C. It involves the planning and arrangement of additional owned ornamental street lights as well as arranging for the repair and maintenance of the existing ornamental street lights. Additional and replacement lights are approved by the Electoral Area Director and installed by a lighting contractor. New lights and repairs and maintenance are extra costs above the BC Hydro power costs.
